There is something magically potent about that air in a rain-forest, and being close to the Daintree river, smelling nature absorbing and giving back to the air and soil that nourishes the forest is a very special experience. Being in a rain-forest reminds me that we are natural beings, and will live, and pass, and the world will remember in some infinitesimal way noting the imprint we made, but continuing on.
There is something comforting and awe inspiring in being reminded that we are small, and our troubles (however important they seem at the time) are unimportant in the greater scheme of things…
