Last night was fantastic!
We had about 60 people turn up – most of whom I didn’t know. It was lively and had a great buzz about it. People were smiling and chatting, and looking and talking. And eating cupcakes. 🙂
I sold 5, which was a great start, but the most important thing for me was that there was a lot of interest, and a really great feeling. It was such a positive experience and today I feel happy, and grateful and relaxed.
I can see how it is meaningful to ‘meet the artist’, and how it makes the whole experience of having a piece in your ownership more pleasurable, so that was another good lesson learned. I think I will make more of an effort on the ‘openings’ side and mingle more. It’s definately getting easier to do it, and it’s a nice way to ‘give back’ and enjoy the energy exchange that exists when people react to the work.
Today I’m off to the park with Zara. It’s going to be so good to have nothing to actually need to do.
Ooooh yeah. 🙂
