Happy is the journey (46 x 46cm ) Oil on Linen.
Everything is slowing down. Getting more difficult. Being stalled with distractions (both necessary and pleasant – but impeding progress). The days are getting hotter. The days are getting longer (and shorter with nighttime settling taking forever).
The Contemporary Art Society Show that was on last weekend was fruitful (one sale), which was a lovely surprise. The ladies who handled the sale told me the story behind it – and it is always such a gift to know that a painting has made its way into a happy home and will be enjoyed. Any sale is a good one, but to hear there were smiles involved makes it even happier for me. If you are out there – thank you and I hope you enjoy. 🙂
I’m off to continue with Christmas preparations – sanding Zara’s vintage doll crib – quite exciting, and to be doing it under a verandah with the rain coming down will make a tedious task much more pleasant. Hope your day is a good one.
New work uploaded onto the Birds online project here. 🙂
