Are you there deer? (102cm x 76cm), oil on linen, 2007
Another one finished, and hanging on the studio wall drying.
There’s only another functional week and a half left – possibly just one functional week before the show. I’m still plugging away gently but starting to need a slight reprieve from the paint.
I really need to do a tally of works that I have available and see what may be going into the show. I know that I don’t have enough small works, but I do find them so difficult there may be lesser works and larger. I have big works, a few in the middle and some littlies. While I know that the littlies will sell in a snap, they may not go into the show for the simple reason that it’s not a secure venue, and I’m worried they may walk out on their own. If there is a way to secure them to the wall as we did at a show earlier in the year it would be a lovely thing.
Next week is the drop off for the Mt Eliza show. Amazing to think that this time last year, it was one of the more exciting things on my calendar. It’s still an important and amazing show, but there’s so much going on in the next month (shows and social) I’ll be lucky if I remember the days at all.
My head is spinning. 🙂
