I must be CRAZY! Or actually, what I should say, is…. be careful what you wish for.
At the beginning of the year, on my list of wishes for my art was another joint show, and a solo. Well they are both coming up in November – at the same time. Um, yep.
I am usually very productive, but I think the pressure of having to produce all this work, at a time when I’m just finding my feet again is making me a little nervous. I can’t stop laughing. It’s hilarious.
One will be at Loco – a cafe that is also turning itself into a night venue, and they want to kick off with a show featuring the talented Daniel Sanger and myself. There will be an opening, and press etc… eeek. Daniel is producing some really interesting work for this show, and I’m treading water trying to keep up! It’s all very exciting, and will be fine by the day I’m sure. 5 weeks to go……..
The other will be at Hudson on Carlisle Street. A show of small works – I’m thinking birds. 5 weeks to go…..
Both are exciting, both are amazing opportunities, both at once. wheeeeeeeee.
On the home front (and also for some source photography of animal heads/feet) we went to the Collingwood Children’s Farm yesterday. It was wonderful fun as always, and the first time Miss Z had held a guinea pig. Both kids are really keen to have one, and we are thinking, maybe that’s a nice idea. Never having had one before though, I’m wondering how do we look after it?
Any hints/tips/stories, or references are welcome. I’d like to know what we’re getting ourselves in for before we take on the responsibility. 😉
