You may think it’s crazy to be spending so much time in making something invisible. Less outstanding. More able to be taken for granted.

Our obsessions are many in this house.
Zara collects, sorts, catalogues. Her own interests, but also those of her brother.
That’s a robot (not her brother) and the bit between the legs is actually the bit on the back to wind it up in case you were wondering.

It never lasts long – that pristine perfection. Empty space stretching out, inviting blissful reflection on nothing.
Slowly, it creeps back in. I’ll do it later, tonight, tomorrow. I’ll do it all at once in a big whirl of economical activity and just sit for now.
