I don’t go shopping much these days. It’s the combination of children and busyness, plus a reduced income that means splurges are more often directed to the necessary that a ‘let me see’ kind of jaunt.
Sometimes I’ll wander around the internet, then feel guilty for spending, and not go to the shops.
So I don’t feel so guilty for going with the flow and the overriding need to possess this:
I don’t need it. Nobody needs a vase, but it was so perfectly beautiful to me, regardless of its origins that I couldn’t put it down.
I love the birds, the the twigs, and the transparency of it, and the bigness and delicacy.
It’s mine.




Looks great Michelle – and can understand why you instantly wanted it. I can totally relate to ‘want’ – I am always seeing items in stores that I immediately MUST have. I read a recent article explaining how artists or artistic people like to be surrounded by aesthetically pleasing objects in the home – and value aesthetic beauty much more than the average bear.
