If I drew this I would be so proud.

The negative spaces are perfectly balanced with the positive ones.  The gathering of stripes.  The collections of circles contained in larger shapes.

It’s perfect.

She is 3.  And I wonder what she will become.  If this eye, attention to detail and sustained concentration are glimpses into a mind that will find fulfillment in numbers and big plans, or the absorbtion needed to complete works of art.  If the plans will reveal themselves in carefully plotted and maintained garden beds, or  a neatly arranged store.  If the intensity in doing is enough in itself for now - and revels nothing.

And there I go again thinking too much.  It’s a drawing - and it was lovely watching her doing it.
