New Stretchers, new linen, a mallet and a staple gun. Boy am I going to have fun today!
It’s always so exciting having new unassembled parts at the ready. Having ideas in mind, not yet on paper, making the canvases……
The possibilities, the joy, and newness of it all.
I actually really do have to get cracking this next 2 weeks. I have a drop off for a show next week – and one of those paintings is not quite finished, I need to submit 2 entry forms, and determine just what will be going in, I have one painting that is burning to get out – but I’m not sure if I can fit it in just yet (which hurts because it’s making me itchy and cranky wanting to get out), and I have one painting for a dear friend which is so close to being finished, but I just can’t spare the time.
Another week full of free time for me would me nice if anyone knows where the pause button on life is. I would be a much nicer person for it.

hey, when you find that pause button, whiz me over the link…
I too am anxious to find this pause button of which you speak…
I really should be enjoying th slow motion at the moment…
Hope you find time to squeeze it all in!
xx
I know how you are feeling Michelle. Same two entry forms need to be submitted here; I haven’t filled them out yet because I have only just started the paintings, so not sure what will work and what won’t. A further two shows require not yet commenced paintings in a couple of weeks. Today I had the day off and juggled painting all day with entertaining master 4yo. I commenced 3 paintings; tomorrow I need to finish them and start on 2 others. I feel like I have bitten off more than I can chew. I wasn’t ever going to let art pressure me like this; it’s supposed to be my time out, a source of relaxation – but some opportunites are too good to let slip.
Hope we are both feeling on top of it all soon!
