It’s been a funny week in blogging. I made #22 in WordPresses top growing blogs, I found a few old blogs that I used to love and somehow forgot (it’s love all over again), and I received an email from Michele Giacobello (Hi Michele!). I nearly fell over when I got that one. Apparently my alter-ego is alive and well on the other side of the Earth somewhere. It’s amazing that there is someone else out there with the same name (minus an L). So if you see any comments that look like me talking to myself – which actually I do (but out loud) – it’s not what you think it is. 
But back to self-portrait Wedneasday….. I’m feeling good about painting at the moment. Had a fab session on Monday with acrylics – up to my elbows in paint with huge swathes of it everywhere. Looking forward to doing a bit more of that this afternoon, and then having some more fun with the oils, after watching a TV show last night called ‘painting Australia’ . I love to see people using them effortlessly – reminds me that it will be possible to do that if I keep on practicing and don’t get too precious.

‘Painting Australia’ – I’ve been watching that – very interesting stuff. So many different styles and interpretations. You’re also right about them just going for it, without being too precious – something I’m yet to master…
